We are excited to announce the launch of our new Little Einsteins Preschool at Mousam River STEM Academy, starting in September 2025! This innovative program is designed for curious young learners, providing a hands-on, STEM-focused curriculum that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and a love of learning from an early age.
Program Details
Ages: 3 - 5*
School Hours: 9:00am - 3:00pm
Before school care: 8:00am - 9:00am
After school care: 3:00pm - 4:00pm
Enrollment Options:
Full-Time: Monday - Friday
Part-Time: Monday - Wednesday (3 days)
or
Thursday - Friday (2 days)
Total Enrollment Capacity: 8 Children
*At Mousam River STEM Academy, we understand the importance of building a strong foundation for future learning. In response to parent requests, we now welcome children whose 5th birthday is close to the kindergarten cut-off date to join our preschool program. This gives them the opportunity to gain an extra year of hands-on learning and development before transitioning into formal kindergarten, ensuring they’re fully prepared for success.
A Typical Day!
Morning
9:00 a.m. – 9:20 a.m. | Welcome & Morning Circle
Children gather in the classroom for a welcoming routine, including greetings, song, and a brief discussion of the day's activities.
9:20 a.m. – 9:50 a.m. | STEM Activity
Hands-on STEM-focused learning, where children engage in creative problem-solving, science experiments, building projects, and exploring basic engineering concepts.
Activities vary based on the theme.
9:50 a.m. -10:20 a.m. | Bathroom & Snack Break
Children use the bathroom, wash their hands, and enjoy a healthy snack with their teacher.
10:20 a.m. – 10:50 a.m. | Creative Play & Montessori Skill Project
Children engage in hands-on activities that promote independent learning, creativity, and the development of fine motor and cognitive skills through Montessori-inspired materials.
10:50 a.m. – 11:10 a.m. | Bathroom & Outdoor Prep
Children get dressed and ready for outdoor activities.
11:10 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | Outdoor Time
Time for children to play outside, engage in physical activity, and explore nature. This could include free play, group games, a nature hike on our trails, or structured outdoor learning that integrates STEM concepts with nature exploration.
Afternoon
12:00 p.m. – 12:30 p.m. | Outdoor Time Continued!
12:30 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. | Bathroom & Lunch
Children use the bathroom, wash their hands, and enjoy a healthy lunch with their teacher.
1:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. | Story Time & Rest Set-up
Children listen to engaging stories that foster a love for reading, enhance language skills, and spark their imagination.
1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. | Rest Hour
Quiet time for children to rest, relax, or engage in calming activities like snuggling a stuffy or reading a book.
2:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. | Afternoon Creative Projects & Play
Afternoon creative projects include crafting, STEM Challenges, sensory table play, music exploration, building, imaginative play, and more!
3:00 p.m. | Dismissal (After-Care Begins)
